Ainsley's portrait of Tamara Lempicka (1898 - 1980, Poland) in colored pencils.

Tamara Lempicka stood at the center of the Paris art world in the Roaring '20's and 30's. As a portrait artist, she pioneered a new image of life on screen, evident in the modern, self-confident women she stylishly painted. Female 'dandies' and dramatic poses prevailed in her work. As a personality, Lempicka brimmed with cool elegance.
