Two years ago, Ainsley's school began supporting a Breast Cancer Awareness event called the Stiletto Stampede.

In previous years, Ainsley has created a work in pencil of a breast cancer survivor, and and an acrylic boot. These pieces are sold at the Stiletto Stampede to raise money.

This year, the direction was to create a shoe. This is Ainsley's final piece.

Ainsley is taking a portfolio class this fall. This is her first piece from the class.

Ainsley went to a friend's birthday party yesterday. All the kids got to paint an elephant. This was Ainsley's creation.

Girl with a Pearl Earring

Each year, there is a Self Portrait Show at Ainsley's school.  One of the features of the show is a second painting that every student in the class paints.  This year the inspiration was Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring.

All the students at Ainsley's school are required to play a musical instrument. Twice a year, the students preform a concert for their parents. Each student paints a cover image for the individual program that is given to her parents. This is Ainsley's Winter Concert program cover.

Superhero - Airon

Each year, Ainsley creates a Super Hero as one of the first painting projects of the school year.

Text description: "Airon is a 16 year old wind-spirit who is sisters with Frost and Seel.  When Seel makes rain-clouds, Airon will send them to a drought area.  Airon also stops air pollution and makes gusts of wind and breezes.  Her outfit, boots, and belt are handmade out of wisps of wind.  Airon can also fly and levitate."

Ainsley took a Large Painting class over the summer. The goal was to create a work of art that could be displayed at home.

Ainsley chose to recreate a photograph taken with her mother.

Super Hero Project - LizRed Liza

Each year Ainsley creates a Super Hero for art class. This year's Super Hero is LizRed Liza.

"LizRed Liza can swim for an hour without having to breathe."
